Scan behaviour
Treat as production for scan severity
| UI label | Treat as production for scan severity |
| Option key | force_production_severity (in option stmc_settings) |
| Default | false |
When WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE is local, development, or staging, severities are normally softened. Turn this on to use full production severities on staging or local QA.
Constant override: if STMC_FORCE_PRODUCTION_SEVERITY is defined in wp-config.php, that wins and the admin toggle is disabled.
define( 'STMC_FORCE_PRODUCTION_SEVERITY', true );
Filter (advanced):
add_filter( 'stmc_treat_as_production', '__return_true' );
Precedence: constant → filter returning true → Settings toggle → otherwise production unless environment type is local / development / staging.
Show further tools links
| UI label | Show further tools links |
| Option key | show_further_tools |
| Default | true |
When a finding has a matching StoreCrafted product, a clearly labeled Further tools line can appear after the free/core fix path. Turn this off to hide those links everywhere.
Further tools never raise severity because a product is missing. Every Critical still has a free remediation path.
Catalog scan bounds
Catalog sellability checks run in Action Scheduler batches. Bounds keep admin load predictable on large catalogs. Hitting a bound marks the score provisional.
Max products per scan
| UI label | Max products per scan |
| Option key | max_products |
| Default | 1000 |
| Allowed | 100–10000, snapped to nearest step of 100 |
Max variations per scan
| UI label | Max variations per scan |
| Option key | max_variations |
| Default | 2000 |
| Allowed | 100–20000, snapped to nearest step of 100 |
Applied after the product bound when checking incomplete variation prices. Batch chunk sizes are fixed in the plugin (100 products / 200 variations per Action Scheduler action).

Stored together under WordPress option stmc_settings.
Ignored checks
Settings shows the count of ignored checks and a link to manage them on Checklist with the Ignored filter. Ignores live in option stmc_ignores and are separate from history.
Reset and save
- Reset defaults — restores the draft to plugin defaults (save to persist).
- Save settings — writes the current draft via REST
PUT /stmc/v1/settings.
Not exposed in UI
Thresholds for individual checks (for example stuck-order age, aged-order volume cutoffs) are fixed defaults in v1. Implementers may use filters such as stmc_check_threshold_{id} where present in code.
